Sony calls the Alpha A580, “the active photographer’s camera.” It has a 16-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, full HD video and it can shoot as fast as 7 frames-per-second (Speed Priority mode – 5 FPS in other modes) – that’s just as fast as the fastest APS-C sensor digital SLRs from Canon and Nikon. The A850 also has a tiltable, 3-inch 921k-dot LCD display and Live View with Quick Focus – a unique-to-Sony feature that makes the camera’s 15-point auto focus system just as fast and accurate in Live View as when using the optical viewfinder. The A580 also includes cool Sony extras like Sweep Panorama mode, Smile Shutter, Hand-Held Twilight, 3D shooting, Multi-Frame NR noise reduction and more.
