  • new camera with great clarity says:

I purchased the Canon SX130 is out of desperation. I forgot my SRL while on vacation in Mesa Verde CO. From a limited selection of camera’s at Walmart ( the only store in Cortez that sells cameras) I chose the Canon. Keeping my fingers crossed the Canon proceeded to take some of the best digital photo I have ever taken. The power zoom on the camera is incrediable. At a half a mile was able to clearly photograph stone blocks inside doorways of the ruins in the cliffs. I’m not a professional photographer, but my vacation memorys were enhansed by the quality of photos that were shot in all kinds of lighing conditions in zoon and macro mode with the Canon. The camera does exhaust AA batterys quickly. I used 3 sets of batterys to shoot 452 photos including transfering them to my computer. But I’ll live the the battery life issue and leave my SRL at home for the overall photo quality and portablity of the Canon SX130 Is in future trips. Some time dumb luck pays off.

I bought this camera yesterday, and analyzed my first 150 photographs just now…. they are very soft and dull, i didn;t expected this from canon. My old sony point and shoot produces better results than this.
    Very disappointed!
anyone who want a cam for indoor photography; i would say a Big NO to this.
