The Pod Camera Support
I’ve had a small version of The Pod for a few years. It’s really pretty ingenious. It’s just a small, flat beanbag with a tripod mount on it. I throw mine in the backpack when I’m going mountain biking and do a lot of side-of-the-road shots on road trips with it. It’s especially useful for shooting with long lenses that have tripod collars. It works great on the roof of the car or fence posts and allows me to use slower shutter speeds and lower ISO settings for better image quality. It’s also a lot easier to carry in my mountain bike backpack than an actual tripod. Best of all, the most expensive model, The Silver Pod, only costs $39.99. The smaller Pods are all about $20.

The Pod Camera Support

The Pod is difficult to find in the USA because the US distributor stopped carrying them. Your best bet is to order them directly from The Pod Web site in Canada. They ship all over North America. I love my Pod!
