Sony Alpha SLT-A35

Sony Alpha SLT-A35 Digital SLR

For the SLT-A35, Sony merged features from last year’s A33 entry-level camera and the SLT-A55. The main upgrade is the A35 gets the A55′s 16.2-megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor – the same sensor used in the Nikon D7000. Like Sony’s other SLT cameras, the A35 has full HD video with continuous auto focus, built-in SteadyShot image stabilization, an electronic viewfinder (EVF) that can be used for movie capture and 7 frame-per-second bursts in Speed Priority mode. The one significant feature it’s missing, compared to 2010′s A33, is the 3-inch tilt-swivel LCD.

    Nice guide John

Thanks, Greg. It got kind of out of hand. I didn’t intend the inro to be so long but I thought the Sony system needed more introduction than Nikon and Canon, since Sony is a relative newcomer to the camera business and some of their technology is probably mysterious to the average camera shopper.
