About BLS439
Hi I'm BLS439. BLS439 is an acronym for my previous competitive mountain bike team called the Brave Little Soldiers" and "439" was my first career badge number. I chose to combine snippets of my life in order to create the perfect handle.

I've worked as a professional photographer for the past two and one half years. Before that I was a serious amateur photographer for four and one half years. My photographic career began in High School taking a basic black and white photography class. After successful completion and finding a new passion in life, I decided to get more serious with my camera and find ways to express myself.

As a professional I shoot freelance not tethered to any one news rag, magazine, or company. I tend to mainly shoot action extreme sports; including: mountain bike, surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and skiing. I am venturing in the realm of college and professional sports. I have shot weddings, portraits, lifestyles, and a variety of other type of images in the past. Editorial type work is my specialty - showing people in their environments as an expressions of themselves.

I am proud to be a member of Photography Review and several other internet based forums. One of the things I've enjoyed the most about photography in general are the people you meet. I've found there is a bond between photographers and we understand each other on a different level. I hope to be able to provide information that is accurate, clear, concise, and easily understandable.
